At the request of KPANGALAM - CHATEAU's dwellers, the NGO CAV proposes to set up a health center in this corner estimated at more than 6000 persons. The goal of this project is to bring health care closer in this corner. That is part of the second Result of the NGO's strategic plan, relating to the reduction of the rate of morbidity and maternal and infant mortality by the end of 2025.
One of the major concerns of the population in general and those of women and children in particular is the difficulties of accessing to healthcare. The coverage of the city of Sokode in terms of health infrastructure is still insufficient. Elswhere, there is an uneven spatial distribution of health infrastructure. The result is a remoteness of health infrastructure from the majority of the city's population. This situation particularly affects women and children in the event of illness.
This project aims in promoting the population's health of the corner by providing the following outcomes : 1. Problems of geographical and financial accessibility of the corner to health care; 2. Bringing health care closer to the dwellers; 3. Strengthening of health personnel; 4. Improving the quality of infrastructure and equipment. 5. Supply of medico-social equipment, furniture, medicines and an ultrasound device for pregnant women.
1. Disease prevention and health care are provided for the benefit of the people 2. Maternal and infant mortality is reduced within this community; 3. Geographic disparities and access to care are reduced; 4. People's health has improved; 5. Development of preventive activities through Information, Education and Communication campaigns; 6. The availability of equipment and qualified staff will allow an effective and efficient operation that will ensure the sustainability of the center.
