Introduction: This report aims to provide an update on the online fundraising project titled "Construction of Shelter Houses for Flood Effected" that is currently live on the GlobalGiving platform. The project aims to raise $168,068 to construct one-room houses, including toilets, for flood-affected families in two districts of Balochistan, Pakistan.
Project Objectives: The primary objective of this project is to provide shelter for the flood-affected families in the Naseerabad and Jafarabad districts of Balochistan. The project aims to construct 30 one-room houses, including toilets, to accommodate the affected communities. The size of the room will be 14'X15', and the size of the toilet will be 7'X5'.
Current Status: As of the date of this report, the project has received a total of $40 in donations, which has been credited to the project account. However, this amount is significantly lower than our goal of $168,068.
Project Plan: To achieve the project objectives, our team plans to construct one-room houses, including toilets, for the flood-affected families in the Naseerabad and Jafarabad districts of Balochistan. The cost of constructing one room, including a toilet, as per BOQ is $5603.60 US dollars. The project aims to construct 30 such houses for the affected families.
Marketing and Promotion: We urge potential donors to consider donating to our cause, given the urgent need to provide shelter for the flood-affected families in Balochistan. Thousands of people are currently without shelter, and the construction of one-room houses will go a long way in improving their living conditions. The project is still live on the GlobalGiving platform, and donations can be made through the platform's website.
