Project Report | Jan 27, 2025
A New Year Ahead

Three months have passed after our last report in October. Since then we only could serve three more beneficiaries: little boy Gael and the Cartagena teen twins that had not come back in a long time for lacking the resources to have a follow-up assessment, and were going through a difficult period with lack of sleep and disruptive behaviors. Your generous contributions made possible to serve 23 peopke in 2024. Our funds raised were almost over, but Giving Tuesday gave us a respite to at least start donating consultations again in the months of February and March, 2025. We hope you consider to continue to support more children, adolescents and adults in improving their lives. Our goal is 100 consultations to make a difference in those 100 people.

In november we were invited to attend the II Social Impact Fair at the beautiful campus of the Universidad Metropolitana de Caracas  where along many other organizations with diverse missions, we showed ours, presented our current campaings and gained visibility. We had a great time full of solidarity and good will. We also held our last Support Group for Parents of 2024 with our volunteer Michelle Bonelli of Brunch&Grow, at a local restaurant that lets us use its facilities

After the incident with the tree, finally, in december, with the help of our neighbors, we got the broken wall repaired, and  we are working with a volunteer engineer with a project to hopefully built a multi-purpose room at our center. We keep our fingers crossed on this and are working towards reaching this goal.

And the last event of the year in which we participated after Giving Tuesday, was the celebration of International Volunteers Day with FIPAN, a local network of nonprofits, and celebrated the work of volunteers and, of course, those of Sovenia. We recognized volunteers in the categories of: child and adolescent, youth, professional, board, outstanding, more experienced and external organization. It was a festival of hope, solidarity and good vibes that helped everyone close the year with a cheerful spirit.

Thanks to all of you for your kind support and trusting your valuable donations to the mission of transforming the lives of Venezuelan Children with Autism. We invite you to visit our social media @Sovenia_Cdta, and hope that you continue to support this dream.
