Creating awareness while serving

After our vacation period things started to get busier after february when scenario changes in the economy of the country, where inflation is a constant, hit us hard because bringing the donated funds into our account in Venezuela is done is small quantities through kind people that serve as bridges of hope and solidarity.

In march we did not donate consultations, because funds were low, but after LittlexLittle campaign we have served five (5) people ages 7 to 25 (Mathi, 7; Vic 8; twins JV and JA 21 and Connie 25) It is fair to say that our professionals are very empathic and solidarian./ En marzo no donamos consultas porque los fondos eran escasos, pero tras la campaña LittlexLittle hemos atendido a cinco personas de entre 7 y 25 años (Mathi, 7; Vic, 8; los gemelos JV y JA, 21; y Connie, 25).

We started April with many activities, on april 2, the first thing on Autism Awareness and Acceptance Day was a talk to a network of organizations to inform about autism and our mission. Later in the afternoon, we gathered at a local public plaza with permission of the municipality of Baruta to offer micro-talks by our professionals with an attendance of about 150 people. We had the support of the Celiac Foundation; several entrepreneurs that make glute-free food that treated children and adults with their products; and Kores of Venezuela that donated crayons and pencils to the kids, along with their beaver mascot. Two days later we had a talk for medical professionals given by one of our doctors, at a public pediatric hospital and last week we offered another one for parents and teachers at the same hospital. We had a support group for parents at a restaurant that lets us use their space, and our psychologists held sessions with parents of children receiving therapy at our center. We ended the month with a cooking class, and an informative talk at Rotary Club Chacao who also donated notebooks, crayons and pencils to 10 kids. /

The mother of Mathi the 7 yr old that you, dear donors, have make it possible to have his first evaluation, sent us a picture of them to share with you, and their faces speak better than words./ La madre de Mathi, el niño de 7 años al que ustedes, queridos donantes, le hicieron posible su primera evaluación, nos envió una foto para compartirla con ustedes, y sus caras hablan mejor que las palabras.
