The Corcovado Foundation, in collaboration with dedicated park rangers and volunteers, has embarked on a significant endeavor to restore 30 kilometers of trails within the magnificent Corcovado National Park. This ambitious project aims to repair the trails and enhance visitor safety and accessibility by constructing high passes, bridges, and railings.
The collective efforts of the foundation and volunteers are crucial in preserving the park's delicate ecosystem, which has been threatened by illegal hunting, logging, and mining activities. Tourism has been a great ally in stopping many of these issues by providing jobs to captains, guides, and businesses to hotels for guests visiting this beautiful park.
The success of this endeavor hinged not only on the physical transformation of the park but also on the human connections forged along the way. Each step taken, each stone unturned, was a testament to the unwavering spirit of those who dedicated themselves to this noble cause.
In Corcovado, amidst the whispers of ancient trees and the promise of tomorrow, a new story unfolded—a story of restoration, unity, and the timeless bond between humanity and the natural world.
By undertaking this initiative, we are revitalizing the park's infrastructure and ensuring a safer and more sustainable experience for all visitors while safeguarding the natural wonders of Corcovado for future generations.
