Corona Emergency Support

As you probably haven't missed: Corona is still going strong, and with this new mutation, it is not clear when we will be out of the woods. Thankfully the rules have been eased somewhat, here in Thailand. This leads to more tourists entering into the country and hopefully more jobs in the future. But at the moment, our families don't see the results of this yet and still struggle hard to survive.

Our staff in both Mukdahan, Phang Nga and Bangkok have continued to look out for those in need. We have been doing this for almost 3 decades, but with this world-wide crisis, more people struggle. As you can see in the pictures, we continue to hand out food and other basic neccesities. We never hand out money, as we can't be sure how it is being spend. And thus we always donate items and give practicial support. 

We would like to thank you for being part of this. It is sad to see how many people are unemployed and really struggling to make ends meet. But we are thankful for your support, which helps us ensure, that no one goes hungry. We hope you will keep on standing with us, as we very much need all the support that we can get! There is light at the end of the tunnel, but it's still a long drive!

Most of Thailand is still in a lockdown, causing huge numbers of unemployment, and many people are hungry and in desperate need. With your support, we continue handing out food.

In every report that we write, we are hoping to share some good news regarding the COVID-situation. We feel sad and frustrated that the situation in Thailand is still not looking good. Most of the country is still in a lockdown and the unemployment-rates are high. Many people are struggling to survive, and we keep on fighting to look after them and help everyone through this crisis. 

Most vulnerable are hit hard
The families we work with, were already vulnerable and in need before the Corona-crisis started. And now many of them are without a job. They don't have any savings, so no work, means hardly any food to eat. With your help, we will keep on reaching out to the most vulnerable families. 

How do we help?
What we do? The most important thing is ensuring that no one goes hungry. We have handed out thousands of food packages, with basic necessities, such as eggs, oil, rice, and more. We visit the needy at home for mental and emotional support as well, during these challenging times. Furthermore, we have handed out thousands of medical supplies, such as facial masks and hand soap. Even in government prisons, there are huge COVID-outbreaks and hardly any face-masks.

You keep us going
Like we said before: sometimes we feel very frustrated with this situation. It seems like there is no end to it. And so many people are struggling to survive. The thing that keep us going though, is you! We are very thankful for the support of many, and couldn't even continue our work without your help.
