Challenge

Due to the coronavirus pandemic the vulnerable people we work with face more uncertainty than ever. Our focus is the safety and welfare of our clients. We are working to help people who are rough sleeping or in our hostels to self-isolate, to protect them from the coronavirus, whilst also providing food and well-being support. Hygiene is also a critical issue, access to cleaning facilities is limited and self-isolation on the street is impossible.

Solution

Self-isolation is key, we have already supported 600 people across our services to do so. This remains a priority. We're also committed to providing food and support to everyone using our services and to keep our services open. Through these actions we will help to protect more vulnerable people. We're doing everything we can to keep our clients safe. Across our 300 services we support thousands of vulnerable homeless people, including almost 3,000 who stay in a St Mungo's project every night.

Long-Term Impact

Your support will save lives and help to stop the spread of the virus. We will achieve this with the help of our partners and the hard work of our St Mungo's staff. We will work to protect people who are sleeping rough and the thousands of people using our services, helping more vulnerable people to self-isolate and remain healthy and safe. Together we can overcome this crisis.
