In 2020, coronavirus cases across the world, and in Serbia, have been rising. A lot of businesses could not keep up with the after effects. Many companies were not in a position to pay their bills and their employees, and for this reason they had to shut down. Thousands of people were under risk of job loss, homelessness and inability to pay for necessities.
Mihajlo and his sister Mila are members of one of the families whose lives coronavirus made miserable. Two children live only with their father, Dragan. During lockdown, Dragan lost his job and contracted coronavirus.
Since then, for four years, we have been supporting Dragan and his two kids, making sure they have textbooks for school and other school supplies, logs during winter and much more.
Thanks to the generous support we have received from you, the last four years were much better for this family of three.
A few days ago, father Dragan sent us Mihajlo`s photos from the prom. And we are sharing one with you.
Dragan also wrote:
I want to tell you that Mihajlo is going to graduation today and to thank you because you contributed to Mihajlo being an excellent student and a good child. Thank you very much. Thank you from the bottom of my heart for all your help and respect. We wouldn't have succeeded without you. My family and I are grateful to you for everything. God bless you and protect you and your families. Grateful Mihajlovic family
And we are grateful to you and sharing this letter with you, because it is also written to you.
Because without you, we also wouldn’t have succeeded and wouldn’t be happy now for Dragan, the proud single father of Mila and Mihajlo, an excellent student ready for his next step in life.
Thank you for being with us all along.
