Prithipura Communities provides a loving home across 4 locations in Sri Lanka to 240 disabled children and adults. The cost-of-living crisis continues to impact us. The costs of daily essentials remain high and we need to ensure that we have enough resources to continue to provide care, education and opportunity for those who live with us. By supporting some of our basic costs, you can help make a difference to the lives of many.
Our costs are going up and we continue to struggle with the challenges of a deteriorating economic situation. We are doing what we can to sustain ourselves, for example, focussing even more on our agricultural production, but we can't do it alone. We need to pay our hard-working carers and farm workers a decent wage. We need to pay for medicines for those who need them and need access to safe transportation should a vulnerable person need medical attention or urgent hospital admission.
With your support, we can keep supporting and enabling the disabled children and adults who live with us. We'll be able to keep providing fresh, nutritious food and ensuring everyone has access to good medical care. We'll be able to continue to support everyone's development in a personalised way and ensure they have access to opportunities for development and a happy and meaningful life.
Prithipura Communities has provided a home and opportunities for people with disabilities for over 50 years. We've faced tough times before and we'll keep on adapting what we do to increase our sustainability and promote opportunity for everyone who lives with us. Our networks of friends and supporters have played an essential role in our journey so far. With your help, we can continue to not only survive but continue to thrive!
