Dear supporter,
I believe there is no doubt that the entire global situation has had emotional repercurssions on all of us.
Children and youngsters, especially the ones Te Aud Romania is serving have been seriously affected. Our solicitations for therapy have massively increased and we have been working hard to encourage these children see some light at the end of the tunnel.
Our therapists have used cognitive behavioural therapy to modifiy automatic negative thoughts, including excessive fears of contamination; hopelessness about maintaining social connections during hard times. The Covid related inactivity and loss of regular daily routines is continuously impacting the emotional stability of already emotionally deprived children.
Connecting with these children has become even more complicated; even though we made use of telephone and video (where it was possible) to deliver pshyctherapy remotely. The learning curve has been steep, especially for children not accustomed to use technology in their daily activities.
Pshychotherapy clearly plays an important role in helping these children overcome these tough times. As such, we are now reopening our one to one sessions; respecting the Covid measures to give these children better fighting chances on their road to recovery.
We are determined to serve our children and our communities and every little penny counts toward improving these children's lives.
Thank you for continuously empowering these children!
