Alleviation of poverty through a micro-credit program
Prime Trust helps improves a family with a financial crisis through the Micro Credit Program With the support of GlobalGiving, USA, Prime Trust was able to help a member of Akshaya Chittu kuruvi self-help group at Anandapuram with Rs. 10,000/- to enhance her tailoring business in Anandapuram village, Puducherry. Her additional income will support the children in their studies and fulfill other needs of her family.
Her husband is an agricultural laborer. The income from the tailoring business helps them repay her loan. The family thanked GlobalGiving and Prime Trust for their support in alleviating her poverty.
Prime Trust will show the donors how the micro-credit helped the poor women to come out of their poverty to lead a self-sustainable life.

Movers Session for the children
Movers session for the evening school children at Rainbow Nagar
The Movers Programme is a regional movement of volunteers who develop Sustainable Development Goals - SDGs awareness, entrepreneurial mindsets, and 21st-century skills by conducting localized training at a grassroots level. The Movers Programme uses a training-of-trainer approach and works with community partners to target harder-to-reach groups and support Youth Co: Lab’s objective to leave no youth behind.
On 19.11.2022 Prime Trust organized a Movers session for the evening school children at Rainbow Nagar. Mr. Sriram Sankar, an Educational Development Associate, at Project Statecraft handled the Storytelling: Tell your own story session. The children were involved with much interest. This session helped the children to think differently. Prime Trust thanks Mr. Sriram Sankar for his valuable time and input.

Awareness session on HIV/AIDS for the children
World AIDS Day, designated on 1 December every year since 1988, is an international day dedicated to raising awareness of the AIDS pandemic caused by the spread of HIV infection and mourning those who have died of the disease.
On 01.12.2022, World AIDS day awareness sessions were conducted for the children in our Home and Evening Schools by Mary Slessor, Program Manager. The session started with a game. The participants were asked about what they knew about HIV/AIDS. The ways of transmission, how it is not transmitted, HIV test, and Acquired Immune Deficiency Syndrome was explained. It was a new subject to most of them. Handbills on the HIV/AIDS Act, 2017, and facts and information about HIV/AIDS were given to the participants. The children responded with interest. It was a participatory session.
