This project will provide 300 Orphans and Vulnerable Children and their care takers food, and COVID-19 preventive materials under this period of lockdown. For food we shall give rice, posho and rice. And the preventive materials will be reusable masks and bar soap. Masks are to be washed whenever they are used. Infinity Network Development Foundation Uganda will do the training of these children on how to safeguard themselves from the virus
A lot of orphans and vulnerable children are lacking food and the COVID-19 preventive materials. Some have cried out us but still promising since we have no funds now as an organisation. And those who tried going to local leaders were also not helped. The national task force has only catered for Kampala, Mukono and Wakiso district but in actual sense all districts have been affected, and some of the groups that have come up to help non is looking at OVC plus their caretakers.
We want to purchase all required materials and food to distribute to these groups of OVC and the caretakers. For those at risk of COVID-19 will be helped with the preventive materials and the issue of food is on everyone. Meaning that the problem of will be solved since the households will have access to food
This project will help 300 Orphans and Vulnerable Children with masks and soap to improve their health status and well being under this COVID-19 lockdown. Food distributed will serve 400 people (Including OVC and caretakers). The provision of food and the materials will help in long term sustainability of our beneficiaries
