GRACE Cares will provide much needed relief to communities affected by COVID-19 in conjunction with our local hero who are leading The Lucknow project to help 30 single-parent families led by women whose husbands have either abandoned them, or who have been widowed. Funds will be used to buy food rations for these families and the necessary medications and medical treatment.
The COVID-19 pandemic has affected everyone in the world community, with over 52 million cases and more than 1.3 million deaths. The pandemic has worsened poverty, employment opportunities, and disease that plagues the community. We have had an increase in the number of women who are participating in the Lucknow project's community ration program as they are unable to work and provide food, medications, treatment and basic necessities, for their families.
This project will offer funds to buy rations for 30 families participating in the Lucknow Project's community ration program. Specifically, rice, lentils, medications, medical treatment and other basic necessities to address the poverty, job loss, illness due COVID-19 epidemic in their communities. 30 families will require $300 per month in funds.
Families in Lucknow need help to survive the COVID-19 pandemic. The impacts of GRACE Cares and our local heroes providing much needed relief to these communities is the immediate survival of their local members and the long-term sustainability of their way of life.
