During this COVID-19 pandemic and Movement Control Order, our Blind and Visually Impaired (BVI) community and Ex-Nicholites are confronted by additional obstacles, they are incapable to go out alone for buying their essential groceries. This relief fund project will help our BVI community and Ex-Nicholites have their essential groceries (Daily Food Supply, Groceries and Personal hygiene Care item) during the Movement Control Order of Covid-19 in Penang, Malaysia.
Since the news of Covid-19 broke in February, St. Nicholas' Home, Penang has been monitoring closely with our residence. We have been liaising with Local Social Care Authority and Government to deliver essential care package to our BVI community and Ex-Nicholites. We have been taking care of our Home residents by providing them daily 3 meals and teaching them to practice good personal hygiene care (how to wear face mask, how to wash their hand with soap & how to use hand sanitizer).
The project will provide the essential care package to our BVI community and Ex-Nicholites during this rapidly evolving pandemic, which will protect them from the risk of Covid-19 infection.
