Italy is one of the most affected countries by COVID-19, with more than 228.000 cases. In these times of great emergency, Fondazione per l'Infanzia Ronald McDonald Italia wants to give its support, by continuing to help and to take care of the community and, in particular, of all families who have to travel far from home and spend several weeks or months to get treatment for their seriously ill or injured children.
Many families travel far from home and spend several weeks or months to get treatment for their seriously ill or injured children - a long time to be away or to divide a family. And, for children facing a serious medical crisis, nothing seems scarier than not having mom and dad close by for love and support. A Ronald McDonald House provides a place for families to call home so they can stay close by their hospitalized child at little to no cost.
Fondazione Ronald allows families to access specialized medical treatment by providing a place to stay at little or sometimes no cost. In addition to our Ronald McDonald Houses we are making available to families, and to our staff who continues to work every day ensuring the full operation of the house, every means of protection: individual protective devices are essential! Additionally, we need to intensify the cleaning service inside the house, to ensure that the rooms are always disinfected.
With a donation of 15 euros we will be able to buy a basic protective kit (mask and antibacterial sanitizing gel) for a parent / child or staff member. With a donation of 25 euros we will be able to buy a complete protective kit (mask, antibacterial sanitizing gel, disposable gloves and gown) for a parent / child or staff member. With a donation of 60 euros we will be able to support the cost of 4 hours of cleaning at Casa Ronald.
