Summary

POTENCIALIDADES creates early intervention spaces to give 700 kids the chance to flourish their potential in safe and nurturing spaces of play and development. We provide support for children in socially vulnerable situations in the Buenos Aires suburbs. Help children who live in poverty in Argentina recover their childhood! Let's create a playground to convert the space into a well- equipped play area, by providing emotional support and stimulation. Let's bring back the fun, laughter and joy!

Challenge

In Argentina, 8.3 million children suffer from disattention and abandonment in social and educational aspects. The youngest lack the possibility of play and stimulation to develop their capabilities.Children face severe problems in the absence of emotional support and intellectual stimulation. This can result in damaging behaviour like drug and alcohol abuse, crime, or problems with educational attainment. From childhood, they can be condemned to a life of ongoing struggle and poverty.

Solution

We help vulnerable children through early intervention to let the kids be kids. We focus on breaking the vicious cycle of poverty by giving them a safe environment to promote their childhood and fulfil their potential. We provide a nurturing space to create a safe, reliable playground guaranteeing all recreational and educational resources to emotionally support, entertain, stimulate and empower their growth and self-esteem to ensure a brighter childhood and future.

Long-Term Impact

The project will allow children the right to be stimulated, mentally alert, emotionally secure, socially competent and capable of learning to their fullest potential. The events during the first years of children's lives are crucially critical in their development. It is a period of great opportunity, but also of vulnerability to negative influences. This play space will contribute to the development of potential and childhood protection to favour their development and future possibilities.
