This Project will create entrepreneurship and income opportunities at a grassroots level in rural South Africa by setting up a community business that processes Moringa.
The communities we work with in rural South Africa face a number of challenges. One of those is the lack of economic opportunities. The unemployment rate is very high and it is difficult for the communities to access tourist money. While many people may have the skill of passion, they lack the ability to access a market for the product.
With Nourishing Moringa we provide an opportunity for locals to grow and process moringa into various products. Nourish can access a market of people that want to buy it. This way, we create income opportunities for families that really need it.
This project will create a sustainable income for women, which will allow them to support their families and be able to send their children to creche. It will also spread more knowledge and awareness about the benefits of Moringa as a food supplement. Moringa is a accessible way everyone can add more nutrients to their food, and in doing so will create more healthy children in a village wrought with HIV.
