Many rural communities face challenges accessing accurate health information, making them particularly vulnerable during disease outbreaks. Through this project, our teams are ensuring that families in remote villages receive reliable information about Ebola prevention, symptoms, and response measures.
Over the past reporting period, community outreach teams have conducted awareness sessions in villages, schools, churches, and marketplaces. Local leaders have joined these efforts, helping spread trusted messages that encourage early reporting and responsible health practices.
These educational activities are reducing fear and misinformation while empowering communities to take an active role in preventing the spread of Ebola. Families are learning practical measures such as proper hand hygiene, safe caregiving practices, and the importance of cooperating with health authorities during contact tracing efforts.
