Curbing the Community Spread of Ebola in Uganda

With the continued support of our donors, we have expanded our outreach activities to reach additional communities and vulnerable populations. Our goal is to ensure that no family is left behind in accessing important health information and support.

During this reporting period, outreach teams organized educational meetings, household visits, and awareness activities aimed at increasing knowledge and promoting healthy practices. Community members actively participated in discussions and demonstrated a strong interest in learning more about protecting their health and the health of their families.

The expansion of outreach efforts has allowed us to engage new communities and strengthen relationships with existing beneficiaries. Increased participation and positive feedback from residents indicate that these efforts are making a meaningful difference.

Sustainable improvements in community health require more than information alone; they require positive behavior change. Throughout this reporting period, our project focused on encouraging healthy practices through education, awareness campaigns, and community engagement activities.

Community members participated in discussions and demonstrations that emphasized the importance of regular handwashing, maintaining clean environments, and practicing behaviors that reduce the risk of disease transmission. These activities were designed to be practical and easy to implement within households.

Participants actively engaged in learning sessions and shared examples of how they were applying the knowledge in their daily lives. Many reported improvements in hygiene practices and expressed a greater understanding of the role individuals can play in protecting the health of their families and communities.
