In the first quarter of 2026, Alhassan Foundation continued its mission to support wheelchair users across Egypt, helping them live a more independent and dignified life. We believe that a wheelchair is not just a tool — it is a door to movement, opportunity, and hope.
During this period, we successfully delivered customized wheelchairs to our members in different regions:
Upper Egypt: 148 wheelchairs
Greater Cairo: 4 wheelchairs
Delta Region: 3 wheelchairs
Each wheelchair is specially customized for its user, designed to fit their body, health condition, and daily needs. This ensures better comfort, safety, and freedom of movement, allowing them to live their lives with more ease and confidence.
These wheelchairs are not just equipment — they are a lifeline. They help individuals go to work, continue their education, and be active members of their communities.
However, the need is still very high.
Many individuals are still waiting for their chance to receive a wheelchair:
Upper Egypt: 86 people on the waiting list
Greater Cairo: 34 people
Delta Region: 45 people
Canal Region: 1 person
In Upper Egypt especially, the demand is growing, and many families are still struggling every day without proper support. Behind every number is a person with dreams, goals, and the right to live with dignity.
With your support, we can continue this journey. Together, we can reach more people, reduce the waiting list, and give every wheelchair user the chance to move, work, and live a better life.
With your help, we can keep going.
