Customized Wheelchairs for the 1st time in Egypt!

In Alhassan FDN we work day and night so that we can provide the physical and financial independence for all wheelchair users in Egypt.

These customized wheelchairs are tailor-made for each case based on his/her weight, height, health condition and needs. It’s made with medically approved materials, and components. It’s also provided with cushions to resist pressure sores & any possible skin irritations. Using customized wheelchairs made wheelers’ daily lives so much easier; consequently, that boosted their self-esteem and physical independence.

We at Alhassan Foundation always aim to be present to serve our members everywhere and in every governorate in Egypt.

Today story about sherif three and a half years ago, Sherif’s life changed in a single moment.

Before the accident, everything was going well. He was successful, running his own contracting office, building his future step by step. His life was stable, his work was growing, and he was proud of what he had achieved.

Then came the car accident.

In seconds, everything he knew was turned upside down.

The six months that followed were the hardest of his life. He struggled with pain, with fear, with questions that had no easy answers. He felt lost. He couldn’t accept what had happened. The life he once knew felt so far away.

But sometimes, hope arrives quietly.

Alhassan Foundation stepped in at a time when Sherif needed it most. They provided him with a properly fitted wheelchair—one that gave him not just mobility, but dignity and independence. It wasn’t just a chair. It was the first step back to life.

With the right support, Sherif began learning again—how to move, how to adapt, how to trust himself. He met other successful people with disabilities who inspired him to see beyond his limitations. Slowly, he reconnected with the world. He went out. He worked on himself. He refused to let the accident define his future.

Step by step, he rebuilt his confidence.

Today, Sherif is the Head of a Department in a major company. He is independent. Strong. Respected. The accident changed his life—but it didn’t end it.

From the heart of Esna in Upper Egypt, a dream began to walk again.

Ahmed, an ambitious agricultural engineer, was living his life steadily until 2017—when everything suddenly changed.
He was diagnosed with muscleatrophy, and as time passed, his body weakened. Soon, he found himself confined within the walls of his home, watching life pass by from a distance.

But destiny had written a new beginning for him.
When Alhassan Foundation entered his life, it wasn’t just about providing him with a wheelchair—it was about giving him back movement, life, and hope.

Because at Alhassan Foundation, we believe that a wheelchair is not a luxury, but a basic right.
Through our specialized team, we carefully select the most suitable wheelchair for each individual, based on their unique needs and the environment they live in.

In 2024, he was provided with a electric wheelchair— that gave him even more independence and freedom to move, work, and live life fully again.

He tried many jobs, always searching for a purpose bigger than himself.
When he became the coordinator for the “Decent Life” initiative in Luxor Governorate, he proved—to himself and to everyone around him—that determination is always stronger than disability.
And when his mission there ended, he returned to his first love and lifelong passion: agriculture and tomato drying .

Today, Ahmed is the Director of the Agricultural Crops Drying Station at international Company, leading a team of about 80 people.
Every day, he works under the hot Upper Egyptian sun with a smile on his face and hope in his heart.

Even though the sandy soil drains his wheelchair batteries quickly, it never drains his determination.
Ahmed dreams of one day establishing his own company for agricultural production and export, and he believes that the dream that once stopped—has now come back stronger than ever.

He always ends his story with words that carry deep gratitude:
