Across Gaza, ongoing instability continues to limit families’ access to adequate and nutritious food. During Ramadan, these challenges become even more visible, as many households struggle to prepare a proper iftar meal after a long day of fasting. Limited income, disrupted food supplies, and ongoing hardship leave vulnerable families, especially children and elderly individuals, at increased risk of food insecurity.
Through our Iftar Meal Distribution Project, we provide freshly prepared iftar meals to families facing the greatest difficulties in accessing food. Working with trusted local partners, meals are distributed in a safe and organized manner, prioritizing vulnerable households and ensuring assistance is delivered with dignity and care.
During this reporting period, families were able to break their fast with warm, balanced meals, easing daily food stress and strengthening community solidarity throughout Ramadan. As needs remain high, we continue our efforts to reach more households and sustain consistent iftar support for those who need it most.
