Dear supporter
We are pleased to share the impact of our school feeding initiative, which has significantly improved access to education for children in rural communities.
Through the provision of daily school lunch to students, we have helped learners remain in school, increased enrollment, and reduced absenteeism caused by hunger.
In many rural areas, children often come to school without having eaten breakfast or with no certainty of a meal during the day. This has historically led to low concentration in class, frequent absenteeism, and in some cases, early school dropouts as children are forced to stay home in search of food.
With the introduction of school lunch, there has been a remarkable change. Students are now able to stay in school throughout the day, actively participate in lessons, and engage more confidently in classroom activities. Teachers have reported improved attention, better academic performance, and a noticeable increase in student retention.
Enrollment has also increased as parents are more motivated to send their children to school, knowing that at least one meal a day is guaranteed. This has helped reduce the burden on families while strengthening the value placed on education within the community.
The impact is best captured in the voices of those directly benefiting:
“Before the school lunch program, many children would leave school early or miss classes due to hunger. Now they stay the whole day and learn better.” - Teacher
“My child used to refuse to go to school because there was no food. Now she is always eager to attend because she knows she will eat.” - Parent
“We no longer worry about hunger during school hours. This program has helped us concentrate and stay in class.” - Student
This intervention has proven that addressing hunger is key to improving education outcomes. However, the need remains high, and many more schools still require support to sustain feeding programs.
Thank you for your generous support. You are helping children stay in school, learn better, and build a brighter future.
