But in Tororo District, that mindset is changing.
Through awareness efforts and visible results, families and community members are beginning to understand that feeding is essential to education.
Children who eat learn better. They stay in school longer. They perform more confidently.
These outcomes are shifting perceptions.
School feeding is no longer viewed as an extra benefit—it is becoming recognized as a core part of education.
