The Strength to Stay in School
In Tororo District, staying in school is not always easy. For many children, hunger has been one of the biggest obstacles standing in their way.
Before the feeding program, some children would leave school early or miss entire days simply because they could not endure the hunger. Learning felt impossible when their bodies lacked the energy to focus.
Today, over 1,600 children are finding the strength to stay.
With a daily nutritious meal, they are able to complete the school day, participate in lessons, and remain engaged from morning to afternoon. This consistency is critical—it allows children to build knowledge, confidence, and momentum in their education.
Teachers report that learners are no longer asking to leave early or showing signs of fatigue as often as before.
Your support is providing more than food—it is providing the strength children need to stay in school and continue learning.
And for many of them, that makes all the difference.
