The Confidence to Participate
Confidence is a key part of learning—but it is often one of the first things lost when a child is struggling with hunger.
In Tororo District, many children once hesitated to speak in class or engage with their teachers. Hunger made them feel weak, distracted, and unsure of themselves.
Today, that is changing.
With daily meals supporting over 1,600 children, confidence is returning. Learners are raising their hands, answering questions, and participating actively in lessons.
This shift is powerful.
When a child feels confident, they are more willing to try, to make mistakes, and to learn from them. They become more engaged and more invested in their education.
Your support is helping restore this confidence.
It is giving children the courage to participate—and the belief that their voices matter.
