Building Confidence Through Stability
In Tororo District, stability is becoming one of the most powerful outcomes of the school feeding program.
For many children, life outside school is unpredictable. Meals at home are not always guaranteed, and this uncertainty often follows them into the classroom. Hunger creates anxiety, and anxiety reduces confidence.
But now, with daily school meals supporting over 1,600 children, a new sense of stability is emerging.
Children arrive at school knowing that at least one meal in their day is assured. This simple certainty changes everything. It reduces stress, improves focus, and allows children to fully engage in learning without distraction.
Teachers are observing this shift clearly. Learners are more confident in answering questions, more willing to participate in group work, and more comfortable expressing themselves in class.
Stability is not just about food—it is about emotional security. When a child feels secure, they begin to believe in their ability to succeed.
Your support is providing this stability. It is creating an environment where children can grow not only academically, but emotionally and socially as well. And that foundation of confidence will stay with them long into the future.
