Daily Nutritious Lunch to Rural School Children

Dear Donor,

We are delighted to share another important step in our mission to ensure that children can learn without the burden of hunger.

Thanks to your amazing generosity, Development Alert successfully distributed food items to a rural primary school in Tororo District, Eastern Uganda. This support will help provide nutritious school meals to over 400 children throughout the entire school term.

For many of these learners, access to a daily school meal is not something they can take for granted. In many rural primary schools, meals are not consistently provided, and children may spend long hours in class without adequate food. Hunger can affect concentration, participation, energy, and the overall learning experience.

The food items delivered through your support represent much more than supplies for a school kitchen. They represent a full term of opportunity. They give children the strength to remain engaged in lessons and the reassurance that they will have something nourishing to eat during the school day.

Teachers and school leaders are hopeful that the continued availability of meals will support attendance, encourage participation, and create a more positive learning environment for the children.

As we begin this new school term, we are filled with gratitude for everyone who has made this possible. Your kindness is reaching beyond a meal. You are investing in education, dignity, health, and hope.
