Daily Nutritious Lunch to Rural School Children

Dear Donor,

We are pleased to report that your continued generosity has helped us take an important step toward supporting children’s education and well-being in rural Tororo District, Eastern Uganda.

Through your support, Development Alert distributed food items to a rural primary school that will help provide nutritious school meals to over 400 children throughout the entire school term.

A successful school term requires more than classrooms, books, and teachers. Children also need the physical strength and energy to participate fully in their education. For learners who come from households facing economic challenges, access to food during the school day cannot always be guaranteed.

This is why your support is so important.

The food delivered to the school will help create a stronger learning environment by ensuring that children have access to nutritious meals during the term. Teachers can focus on teaching, while learners can focus more fully on participating in lessons and school activities.

This intervention also sends an important message to the children: their well-being matters.
