Daily Nutritious Lunch to Rural School Children

Dear Donor,

The impact of a nutritious school meal does not end when a child leaves the dining area. Its influence can continue throughout the school day and contribute to a child’s journey toward a brighter future.

With your incredible support, Development Alert recently distributed food items to a rural primary school in Tororo District. The supplies will help provide nutritious school meals for over 400 children throughout the school term.

For these learners, every meal represents an opportunity.

It is an opportunity to focus on a lesson instead of hunger. An opportunity to participate in class activities. An opportunity to enjoy the school day with friends. And, most importantly, an opportunity to continue building the education that can shape their future.

Many families in rural communities work hard to provide for their children under difficult economic circumstances. School feeding support can therefore complement the efforts of parents and caregivers while helping create a more supportive learning environment.

We believe that education and nutrition are closely connected. A child who is supported to remain healthy and energized is better positioned to make use of the opportunities education can provide.

Your generosity is helping make this connection possible for more than 400 learners.

Today, food has reached the school. Throughout the term, those supplies will become meals. And through those meals, children will have additional strength to learn, grow, and pursue their dreams.

Thank you for investing in their tomorrow by supporting them today.

With sincere gratitude,

Development Alert
