Daily Nutritious Lunch to Rural School Children

Dear Donor,

We are excited to share another encouraging update from our school feeding work in Tororo District, Eastern Uganda.

With your continued generosity, Development Alert has been able to provide food supplies to a rural primary school, supporting nutritious school meals for more than 400 children throughout a complete school term. This achievement is bringing hope to learners, teachers, parents, and the wider community.

For many children in rural communities, attending school does not always mean having access to a meal during the day. Families work hard to provide for their children, but economic hardship can make it difficult to consistently meet every household need. When children arrive at school hungry, the challenge can extend beyond the physical discomfort of hunger. It can affect their concentration, participation, energy, and ability to remain engaged throughout the school day.

The food supplies delivered through this project are helping address this challenge.

For an entire term, more than 400 learners will have access to nutritious school meals made possible through your generosity. Every meal represents an opportunity for a child to focus on a lesson, participate in an activity, interact with classmates, and continue building the education that can shape their future.
