This project is new chance to our members with intellectual disabilities (we call them "Athlete")who like dancing. We are planning to work on cheer dance. We think that cheer dance can be a valuable experience for them, since they can feel bonds of friendship and wonderfulness of supporting with their colleagues. Since it is a program to start newly, we will start with making uniforms and securing the venue, so please support us.
People with intellectual disabilities tend to have few opportunities to move their bodies after graduating from school. Therefore, it often carries problems such as obesity. And they tend to spend more often only with their families and limited people such as schools and companies, making it difficult to spend full leisure activities.
This project will be a good opportunity for "Athlete" who is not good at sports as well. Because many "Athlete"who want to do some exercise but they couldn't do intense sports will can do.And by participating in this program,they will have the opportunity to continuously exercise and they can maintain their health. Also, by participating in a different community from schools and companies, they can gain opportunities for building new relationships and expand their own world.
This program will train "Athlete" who have confidence in themselves and value their peers. That will help create a society where everyone can live with vitality with or without intellectual disabilities. We hope that this program starting in Tokyo will be a successful model case and spread it all over Japan.
