Soon after marriage, Sher's husband whisked her away to live abroad. It was quite sudden but Sher loved her husband and was excited to live in a foreign country.
For the first couple of years things were good but sometimes her husband would get angry for no apparent reason. When she was pregnant with Noam, things got worse.
Sher has been emailing our crisis advocate on and off for quite some time. Things weren't always bad. But when they were bad, they were very bad. She finally decided she needed to flee back home for the safety of herself and her son.
After extensive safety planning with our crisis advocate, Sher was able to get Noam out of the house and onto a plane. Something she said she would have never been able to do without our crisis advocate's support and guidance.
We would not be able to provide help to victims like Sher and Noam without your donations. Thank you!
