When the abuse from Jamie's husband in Japan became life threatening, Jamie knew the most important thing was protecting Micah. Leaving meant uncertainty, legal complexity, and starting over — but staying meant continued danger from her husband.
With courage and love guiding every decision, Jamie reached out to Pathways for help. Through careful safety planning, coordinated logistics, legal consultations and secure relocation, Jamie and Micah secretly escaped Japan and returned to the United States and into a place of safety.
Today, Micah is settling into a new routine filled with stability instead of fear, and Jamie is rebuilding with renewed strength and hope. Because of your generosity, this parent was able to act in a moment of crisis — and a child now has the life altering chance to grow up in safety, surrounded by protection and possibility.
