Eva contacted us after losing all hope of escaping her abusive husband in Portugal and coming home with her son Malone.
She has read about the Hague Convention on International Child Abduction and didn't know what to do.
We worked with Eva and asked her to put all of the abuse she and Malone had experienced into a time line and to gather as much evidence as possible of the abuse.
We connected her with an attorney in the USA so she could discuss the Hague Convention and the different defenses she may have based on her evidence of abuse.
Due to Eva's specific circumstances and the evidence of abuse she had gathered, the attorney was able to access that she had multiple defenses should she flee home for safety.
Here is part of an email we received from Eva. "Without your help and guidance, I would still be in Portugal afraid and unaware of what my options were. Now we are home and I have a free attorney to help me navigate next steps. You were the angel I needed!"
