Annie thought moving abroad to Italy as a trailing spouse was going to be the most wonderful experience, especially for her son Brody.
Annie's husband told her moving to Italy would be a new start for them. He had been verbally abusive in the past but agreed to counseling and a new life in Italy.
Within one year the abuse of Annie's husband increased from verbal threats to physical violence. Annie secretly communicated wiyh Pathways' via email for several months before finally being able to flee back home to the USA.
