When Jocelyn called AODVC last month and told us her story, we feared she and her son Luis were in danger of lethality. Her husband had stranged her, threatened to kill her after she met an American friend, Katie, in Madrid for lunch. He accused her of having an affair because Jocelyn forgot to take her phone off of silent and she didn't know he had called her - 15 times.
Jocelyn disclosed her husband had been abusive before but it had escalated in the past year.
We were able to get Jocelyn and Luis on a plane home to the USA as well as provide some cash for immediate needs. They are living with Jocelyn's mother, safe and sound.
We were only able to provide danger to safety relocation to Jocelyn and Luis because of donations like yours. Thank you so much for caring about battered American women and children suffering with abuse overseas.
