After all the villagers and community agreed to designate some land to DARE Network for the Organic growing, everything has moved forward quickly. The Nats are on our side now.  The spirits have been appeased.

DARE Network needs to feed 20 staff, 10 trainees and 30 clients every day, at the DARE Centre in Karen State..  In order to reduce the costs and to sustain the program, DARE Network-Karen State has developed organic gardens.  Everyone participates from planting to eating.

In addition, the clients who are undergoing treatment for their addiction issues have the benefit for the first time in a long time of using their bodies, relaxing their minds and feeling the simple joy of raising their own  food.

*Saw Bway tells us, " One of my favourite parts of the the DARE Program is working in the gardens.  I feel so peaceful and my mind is still.  I have no worry at this time.  I also gain some skill so maybe I can help my family later when I leave."

Sustanence, mind, body and soul goes a long way to relieve and heal the ravages of addiction.

Thanks to all of you for helping us do this.
