The skill development initiative under the Dare to Dream Project aims to empower young girls with vocational and life skills, enabling them to become self-reliant, financially independent, and active contributors to their communities.
During this reporting period, 2 girls were enrolled in a structured three-month hairdressing and makeup. The training is being conducted in partnership with one women-led vocational centers and includes both technical skills and life skills components such as communication, leadership, and basic financial literacy.
Participant have demonstrated high engagement and commitment, with trainers reporting steady progress in technical competence. The project has also generated wider community interest, with more girls requesting to join future cohorts.
Challenges faced include limited training space, inadequate equipment for the growing demand, and occasional transportation barriers for participants. Strategies are being explored to expand resources and accessibility.
