Reproductive health care is under attack.

By Alexa Telano | Manager of Development

We must protect reproductive rights.
We must protect reproductive rights.

Reproductive health care is under attack. We must protect reproductive rights and defend all women.

Reproductive healthcare centers serve as primary healthcare for millions of women, including preventing heart disease. Over 60 million women in the US are living with some form of heart disease, making it the leading cause of death for women. Additionally,  spontaneous coronary artery dissection (SCAD) makes up approximately 1 to 4 percent of acute cardiac issues annually. Among young females, it's known as a primary trigger for heart attacks. Due to underreporting and misdiagnosis, the commonity of SCAD remains unknown. Medical experts claim that 40 percent of heart attacks occurring in women under 50 stem from SCAD, with women comprising 9 out of 10 SCAD cases. By preventing women's access to reproductive healthcare, a decision against abortion becomes a decision to lower the overall healthcare of American women.

As we work together to defend our basic human rights, we envision a world where all women have access to just and excellent healthcare. When women share their personal stories with 3G, they are supported by a caring team that demands change through the power of film. Amplifying personal and survivor stories is something we do not take lightly.

3G continues to support reproductive health and rights through the power of film and outreach campaigns. Please visit our website at 3generations.org and connect with us on social media @3_generations to watch our videos and films featuring changemakers spanning worldwide and generations. You can join us today to foster awareness and understanding through the power of film.
