CHHASE aims to transform the lives of 32 deformed, cured leprosy patients and 52 disabled youth suffering from physical deformities caused by birth defects, accidents, abuse, or disease. Each child follows an individually designed program which is a combination of physiotherapy, massage, occupational and speech therapies. Deformed leprosy cured patients are neglected by their own family, struggle for bread and they will be provided with provisions and income generating program for a secure life
Children with disability face lot of difficulties for survival and parents also suffer to look after them. Many children require medical help because of malnourishment, intestinal parasites and infectious diseases. As a result, children become mentally disturbed, their future is in dark and the whole family becomes victim of disability. Deformed leprosy cure patients are neglected by their own family. Deformed leprosy patients and families suffer without income and struggle for bread every day.
CHHASE therapy center will provide an individually designed program, combination of physiotherapy, massage, occupational and speech therapies. Parents need to explain to them and involve them in doing exercises with their child and in turn parents/caregivers learn to provide an environment of physical and emotional safety to their children. Deformed leprosy cure patients are neglected by their own family, and they will be provided with food groceries and income generating program.
Continued Child-Parent Psychotherapy in a homely environment to improve a child's cognitive, behavioral, and social functioning as they continue through childhood. This project provides an environment conducive to play, and ultimately, conducive to healing of children. Provision of food groceries and income generating program with give deformed cured leprosy patients, a peaceful future and save them from hunger.
