This project will build a fish fond in Mkushi district for income generation activities,Which will be selling to the community a table size fish between 250 grams and 350 grams and support services 500 vulnerable children school going children who have being effected by HIV / AIDS due to the death of their parents and also the closing of schools in our country due corona virus -19 pandemic which has effected children between 6 years and 15 years staying at home without access to education .
Currently they are fewer fish ponds in Zambia to supply the demand of fish as mostly households in Zambia depends on fish . According to fisheries department in all 10 province of Zambia 80% of population depends on fresh and dried fish . The main challenges is lack of fish ponds of fish rearing and create employment to the young people and supporting school going vulnerable children also helping the old people to earn income from selling fish.
Mwashibukeni community based organization will build a community fish pond and start fish production all round the year . this project will employ the youth in fish farming activities and reduce poverty level in the community
The project of fish production will employ 10 workers and support 500 school going vulnerable children from our income generation activities in order to access formal education and become good citizens of the country contribution of economic development .
