Delivering Lifesaving Medical Supplies to Sudan

Dear Friends and Supporters,

Three months ago, you helped us take the first step toward something urgently needed — getting critical medical supplies into the hands of healthcare workers serving conflict-affected communities across Sudan. Today, we want to give you an honest, heartfelt update on where we stand and what is coming next.

The Crisis Has Not Waited

Since the outbreak of armed conflict in April 2023, Sudan has become the world's largest humanitarian crisis. Over 30 million people — more than half the country's population — are in need of humanitarian assistance. Health facilities are operating with little to no supplies. Doctors and nurses are treating patients without basic medicines, wound care materials, or diagnostic tools. Mothers are delivering babies in facilities with no oxytocin, no delivery kits, no gloves. Children are dying from preventable and treatable conditions simply because the supplies to treat them are not there.

This is the reality our campaign is working to change.

What We Have Done So Far

Since launching this campaign three months ago, our team has been working on multiple fronts to ensure that every dollar raised translates into maximum impact on the ground:

  • We have formally initiated a partnership application with a donor, to secure a donation of medical supplies to be shipped directly to Sudan at no cost. This process involves rigorous compliance and logistics planning to ensure supplies are delivered safely, accountably, and to the right people.
  • We have engaged Local implementing Partner, who will manage customs clearance, warehousing, and last-mile distribution of all supplies to health facilities across Sudan.
  • We have established robust accountability frameworks — including distribution agreements, inventory management protocols, and monitoring systems — so that every item donated is tracked from the moment it arrives in Sudan to the moment it reaches a patient, completely free of charge.

Where We Stand Today

Thanks to the generosity of our donors, we have raised $400 toward our goal. We are deeply grateful for every contribution — each dollar is a direct expression of solidarity with the people of Sudan at their most vulnerable moment.

We want to be transparent with you: we are still in the early stages of this campaign and have a significant distance to go to reach our fundraising goal. The need in Sudan is immense and urgent, and we are committed to doing everything in our power to scale this effort.

What Comes Next

Over the coming weeks and months, our focus is on three priorities:

  1. Completing the Donor partnership process so that a shipment of donated medical supplies can be approved, packed, and dispatched to Sudan as quickly as possible.
  2. Growing this campaign — we need your help to spread the word. Every share, every conversation, every new donor brings us one step closer to filling a container with lifesaving supplies.
  3. Reporting back to you with full transparency on what is shipped, what arrives, and who is reached — because you deserve to see the impact of your generosity.

A Note of Gratitude

To everyone who has donated, shared this campaign, or simply kept Sudan in their hearts — thank you. The Sudanese people are resilient beyond measure, and they are not forgotten. Your support tells them that people across the world see their suffering and refuse to look away.

We will be back with our next update soon. In the meantime, please consider sharing this campaign with your networks. The more we raise, the more lives we can reach.

With gratitude and determination,
