This project provides Ramadan food packs to displaced and vulnerable peaple families in North Kivu, Democratic Republic of the Congo. Through locally sourced staples, we will prepare and deliver nutritious food packages to families living in displacement camps around Goma. Donations are used transparently for food purchase, packaging, and direct distribution, helping families break their fast with dignity during Ramadan and Eid.
In North Kivu, Democratic Republic of the Congo, conflict and volcanic eruptions have displaced hundreds of thousands of people. Families in overcrowded camps face chronic hunger, especially during Ramadan, when food prices rise and aid is limited. Women, children, the elderly, and people with disabilities are the most affected, often breaking their fast with nothing at all.
This project delivers Ramadan food packs directly to displaced Muslim families in North Kivu. Each pack contains essential staples for daily meals throughout Ramadan and Eid. Food is sourced locally to support markets, packaged with dignity, and distributed directly in camps, ensuring immediate relief, cultural respect, and measurable impact for families facing hunger.
By ensuring food security during Ramadan, this project protects health, reduces malnutrition, and restores dignity for displaced families in North Kivu. Over time, consistent humanitarian support strengthens community resilience, protects children's well-being, and helps families survive prolonged displacement while advocating for peace, stability, and recovery in eastern Congo.
