Challenge

Haiti is in crisis. Gang violence, political instability, and collapsing infrastructure make it nearly impossible for many pregnant women and children to access care. In rural areas like Lascahobas and Cap-Haitien, women walk for hours in active labor because no ambulance is available. Others die from preventable complications due to a lack of essential medicine or prenatal testing. Without urgent help, more lives will be lost.

Solution

This project will deliver life-saving care to mothers and children in Haiti's most remote and underserved areas. With your support, MamaBaby Haiti will purchase an emergency vehicle to serve as an ambulance-ensuring women in labor aren't forced to walk miles for care. It will stock our two birth centers with six months of critical medications and diagnostic tools, including tests and treatments for HIV, syphilis, anemia, and infections. Long-Term Impact

This project will reduce preventable maternal and newborn deaths by improving emergency response, medication access, and mobile midwifery outreach.
