Summary

Emergination Africa plans to run its fifth National Business Case Competition (NBCC) 2024 in 400 high schools across Zimbabwe. Through this fundraiser the organization plans to raise funds to enable 200 high-density and rural schools to participate in the 2024 competition. The organization will capacitate 400 teachers who will in turn coach over 1000 students for 6 months in developing business ventures that can compete nationally for a chance to get their ventures funded.

Challenge

Due to the lack of financial resources high potential high school entrepreneurs in high density and rural high schools do not have an equal opportunity to participate in platforms such as the NBCC that provides them with support in starting profitable business ventures that can solve challenges within their communities and create employment opportunities for themselves and others post high school.

Solution

The NBCC is a platform that identifies and nurtures future business leaders in Zimbabwean high schools with the necessary problem solving, critical thinking, entrepreneurial skills and confidence to create innovative business ventures that can solve grand challenges that restrict the prosperity of their communities. From this fundraiser, Emergination Africa plans to train and capacitate 400 teachers who will in turn coach 1000 future business leaders for 6 months in developing business ventures.

Long-Term Impact

If we capacitate teachers through this program, they will help learners develop critical thinking, problem-solving, and entrepreneurial skills necessary for creating business solutions to pressing challenges within their communities. If we train 400 teachers, they will be able to directly impact 2000 learners and indirectly impact an average of 76 000 learners. By 2027, Emergination Africa will have impacted 4,000 schools, 20,000 educators, 2,000,000 learners, and accelerate 360 ventures.
