Four years ago, a youth group from California took their first Love Your City trip to Costa Rica and a friendship formed that has impacted both communities. As they returned this August for their third trip, the group of 40 young changemakers furthered the world of Love Your City by building a staircase on a previously steep walkway, cleaning up a community playground, and refreshing our team's community center.
More than just projects, alongside their coaches and team, they put the Forgotten Pieces into practice, and they grew as faith-filled leaders.
Throughout history and around the world, young people are the leaders of change and the discoverers of new, needed answers.
In a world where 84% of young people worry about their future, those who find purpose, start to shed the worry and step into new adventures that bring them closer to the thing they were made for.
So how do you find your purpose? Consider a Love Your City Trip with your youth group. Be part of something bigger than yourself, have the opportunity to try new things, and to go where others don’t!
