“Success is not measured by what you accomplish, but by the opposition you have encountered, and the courage with which you have maintained the struggle against overwhelming odds.” – Orison Swett Marden
Today we congratulate our friend Tatiana, who for the last 3 years has been working hard, totally committed to resuming the studies that in previous years she did not have resources or support to finish.
Tatiana was awared two years ago a scholarship that the Wizard language institute in San Jose kindly provided to the Foundation, and today she finished the last level, W8! When we first met Tati, she was brimming with potential but nervous to go back to high school or get out of her comfort zone. With the love, encouragement and solidarity from her Boy with a Ball English group, she became inspired.
As of today, Tati is ready to use English along with the other studies she is completing to work, support her family and inspire and help her neighbors. We aren't suprised on the weekends to find her helping youth with their English homework or assisting other women who want to go back to get their high school degrees but aren't sure how.
Tatiana is an example in her neighborhood, Los Cuadros, that with dedication and confidence, despite circumstance or the past, everything is possible!
