Update on the progress report on

By James Rosita Nkeiruka | Project Leader

"The deepest craving of human nature is the need to be appreciated." We cannot but thank you immensely for your kindness, generosity, and expression of solidarity to our project, "Digital literacy: 5K youths in connected economy (54330)

In our last report dated June 12, we haven't made much progress as regards to receiving support in carrying out our humanitarian services for, "Digital literacy: 5K Youths in Connected economy (54330).

During the September #littlebylittle campaign 12-16 we received few support, though not inclusive in this report. Disbursement from GlobalGiving are yet to arrive, looking towards any moment from now, GlobalGiving will send as usual for the continuation of our humanitarian services. In our next report you will see how your donation was used in our humanitarian assistance in Digital literacy in connecting youths in connected economy.

Within the last three months, we have received few donations from few individuals who assisted us through In-kind donations. Here is the little income we were able to receive and how it was used for our humanitarian services:

*INCOME*

a) In-kind contribution=$180

b) balance of last project expenditures =$20.01

Grand total=$200.01

Below is a short description of some of the humanitarian relief you have supported us with your donation.

EXPENSES

i) Facilitators appreciation = $100

ii) Volunteer/Staff appreciation = $50

iii) Communication and telephone bills = $ 35

iv) Graphic Artist = $30

Grand Total = $215

Balance= $-14.99

One crucial benefit that comes with championing digital literacy is that youths can be prepared for life beyond higher education, and equipped with the technological skills that may serve them well in their careers.

However, during the cause of our workshop and seminars and our interactions, we discovered that majority of our youths face with challenges and barriers in getting help. All these challenges are narrowed towards; family constraints and imperatives, individuals' own disposition, in line with past learning experiences,
Pessimistic outlook and low self-esteem.
lack of confidence in their ability to learn,
lack of money (precarious situation, barely enough money for basic needs)

As the crises rages on, insecurity, uncertainty, and humanitarian needs abound. We are committed to providing humanitarian and long-term support to rural communities.

Once again, thank you for your generous donation to Digital literacy: 5k youths in Connected economy (54330) that supported these efforts.

Moreso, #givingtuesday campaign is right around the corner, November 29, we will be grateful to partner with you on that special day. We will also give you update as the campaign approaches through our project appeal letter as a reminder for the campaign exercises. Thanks for considering our organization and proud to partner with us.

With Kindest regards,

Samonyemaechi humanitarian.
