Summary

Passerelles numeriques Vietnam (PNV) offers a free 3-year IT training program at our center, for the most vulnerable and marginalized youths aged 18-23 in Vietnam. Our mission is to truly develop our students' employability which will allow them and their families to escape poverty in a sustainable way. PNV's additional objective is to reduce inequality between genders by setting the enrollment ratio of at least 50% female students.

Challenge

Our work environment undergoes constant changes brought by the fast progressing digitalization of economies affecting the entire global workforce most especially disadvantaged women. They are at great risk of professional displacement and unemployment as jobs of the future will most likely look quite different and new skills to stay relevant will be needed.

Solution

With the vast opportunities in the digital sector, Passerelles numeriques (PN) was founded to provide education and technical and professional training to young underprivileged students in Asia. PN has developed a holistic and student-centered program for students to acquire expertise and certificate in Information Technology. PN covers all the costs of their studies from accommodation, food and education until they graduate from our program. PN also assists them in finding a job.

Long-Term Impact

With our approach designed to have a sustainable and long-term impact, we ensure that our students secure a decent job and earn a regular income so they can also give back to their families. At PN, we do not only aim for our students to have a better future but we also want their families to escape poverty as well. Our students have a more than 90% success rate in finding jobs right after receiving their diplomas.
