This project aims to provide Dignity Kits to 1500 women and girls and Post-Maternity kits to 1000 pregnant women who fled the recent war in North Kivu, DRC and who are currently living in the Internally Displaced People's camps (IDP) near Goma.
The recent war between the DRC government forces and M23 in North Kivu, in eastern DR Congo has caused the massive displacement of the populations. Young girls and pregnant women are among displaced people leading difficult life in the IDP camps. Apart from the girls and women to be exposed to sexual and gender-based violence, newborns are also at high risk of death due to poor conditions during childbirth.
